DIARY OF A SEDUCER is the disturbing narrative of a man who explores his sense of detachment by deliberately arousing the passion of a young society girl. Inspired by events in Kierkegaard's own life that are still shrouded in mystery, this story is a vivid exploration of the complex psychology of cruelty and love.
SOREN KIERKEGAARD was born in 1813 in Copenhagen and studied theology, philosophy and literature. He was deeply affected by the death of his father in 1838, and in 1841 decided that marriage was incompatible with his solitary nature. He devoted the rest of his life to writing until his death in 1855.
