2014 has been a great year for Stefan Zweig, as his revival continues, largely thanks to the box-office success of Wes Anderson’s Zweig-inspired hit The Grand Budapest Hotel. Alongside the film, we published The Society of the Crossed Keys, a selection of extracts from Zweig's work that served as inspiration for Anderson. We’ve also just released a new deluxe clothbound edition of Zweig’s seminal The World of Yesterday: Memoirs of a European to join our growing collection of special edition Stefan Zweig hardbacks. Next year will see us continue our quest to bring more of Zweig’s work into English, with the publication of his fascinating biography of Montaigne, as well as a collection of essays never before in English and new paperback editions of his scintillating short stories and vivid historical panorama, Shooting Stars.
